December 31st, 2011more work on trailer.
December 27th, 2011

Checker wooden massive countertop installed. Propane lines run. Stove in. Kitchen just needs aluminum walls next.
Floor is all stripped. 6 hours stinky work. Rewaterproofed. Water was stuck between tiles smelling up. all sterilized, and tripped. No rot. Waterproofed many times, and again later. Another all nighter on the trailer. Releveled trailer. Already removed, and cleaned out the greywater tank, It was funky. Glad I can remove everything in my trailer. Now I have to build the countertop & framing before it gets checkered. It will be covered in wooden checkerboards anyway. The stove backsplash, and base is shipping.Trying to not use much wood for weight reasons. Checking into weight of new vinyl floor vs. just painting it.
The 12v wiring is next.
Up 5-8 hours tearing up all the old checkered tiles. Cleaning up the residue. Cleaning up the mess. Moving every single item off the floor. Venting the off-gassing of the old tiles’ adhesives being exposed to open air. Sanitizing the floor. I found water between the self-stick tiles. Waterproofed floor again the 5th time just to be safe.Floor was waterproofed. It got between the individual tiles, …
Getting trailer ready for new bed, and new flooring. 2 weeks of drying out bare floor with tiles removed and moisture found underneath. Bleaching, and cleaning the surface 3x daily. Another layer of waterproofer, and the floor will be technically a house code shower pan. My floor is waterproofed in liquid shower pan products. The shower, and plumbing area is 1/3 the space in trailer. Food storage in rest. Able to hose out trailer, and bleach it sterile with no wood rot
Removing crappy self stick tiles. Red rubber waterproof floor underneath. It was moist from old tiles not sticking right. Could have rotted later if not caught. Smelly water. Good thing I waterproofed floor many times. May do another layer of Regard red rubber as floor if checker one is too expensive. Really need to spend $43 on more waterproofer. Ugh.
New futon mattress ordered. Getting a new top quality checkered floor cheap next. Countertop from last nite is great. All I need are a few duct fans, and to build a bench later after the new floor. No built-in carpentry until old self stick crappy tiles are replaced. New mattress is super important. I almost live in my bed in this small space. More food filling pantry.
4, 12v outlets in mail to be installed. I’ll have 4-6 12v plugs when off grid with plenty of adapters, and appliances. 2 solar appliances already here. a bunch of little things left.
My cheap checkered selfstick fooring wet to shit in 3 months. I took a chance, and contacted a checker flooring ebay wholeseller for cheap off size scraps of 9″sq. checkered sheet linoleum like in toy haulers. Super durable. I’m checkered, and need a new checkered floor. They are hooking me up for a pic of the checkered trailer when installed for their ads. Their son is a tattoo artist, and they all have heard of me. All good stuff. Much respect from them.
getting mobile..
December 9th, 2011So my 14″ travel trailer tires are too big. The trailer originally had 13″ tires. There is no clearance for 14″ travel trailer tires in the wheelwell. I now have to buy $235 worth of new wheels, and tires instead of switching them out for $28 like I thought. I was going to get the axle flipped for clearance, but that may not be needed since the new tires are the right size.
Pricing new trailer tires. Maxxi brand made in USA only! Fuck that Chinese tire garbage! A metal fabricator is helping me on the fenders, front jack, and we may be trading my old 14″ wheels plus 2 sets of tires for his 13″ wheels. He can switch tires too. I should be fully towable in less than 2 weeks. Able to be towed, but there is only 2-3″ of clearance with current 14″ tires. It was bottoming out. See how much clearance with the 13″‘s. Should be 5-7″ then. Then, maybe flip axle. See how it goes. So hard getting anything completed working on this even though I’m down to only the frame, 3/4 of the skin, and only %40 of the wood structure that has not been replaced.
Trailer was on jacks yesterday with no front jack on(at metal fabricators), and only 1 wheel. It fell off when a jack broke. 3/4 of trailer rolled off the chock 2′ arc, and most was flat on the ground. Took 4 jacks, & cinder blocks to get is straight again. since I have No pipes sticking out for septic/the valve in inside, there was NO damage at all. 1 book fell off shelf even though the entire trailer fell 11″ to the ground. 2000 lb drop. This trailer cannot be damaged on the underbody like so many trailers. New floor, and undercoating. No propane lines, or wiring run under frame. All are run between the frame & floor so nothing can be damaged if I run over something.
Bought jacks- set of 4 large ones. New steel wheel chocks. Bought 6 18″ x 26″ full sized heel pans for paneling kitchen walls. Rebuilt dinette. Rebuilt bench. Added a shelf for cat under dinette table that doubles as a checkered linen pile.Took down loft extension. More 3/4″ wooden checkerboards as paneling on walls. Built window shelf behind sink out of a real nice wooden checkerboard. Emergency mylar blankets to cover ceiling arrived. Insulated mirror ceiling. ha. Set up a final supply list of 16 odd items at Home Depot. Jacks tomorrow. Tires next week.

December 1st, 2011Dave Archer’s Dave Bastard’s old shop.
Back then it was him, and his wife-who can tattoo circles around him.
That’s what his employee’s said…
This was the gayest bunch of douchebags I ever met in my life.
To write more would be as much of a waste of time as they are.
